Who we are...
We are a team of specialists working in the areas of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Assistive Technology (AT), and Speech-Language Pathology. Our team is transdisciplinary and we combine our knowledge and expertise to develop new and innovative ways to support the evolving needs of individuals with different abilities, their teams, and their communities.
We are part of the Tate Behavioral Team, heading Tate's Speech Language and Literacy Center (SLLC). Our team is also working at Tate Learning Center (TLC), Tate's Early Learning Center (ELC), and in the community with school districts and agencies.

Hillary and Nerissa started Commūnicāre, LLC in February of 2011. They were determined to create an organization dedicated to helping individuals with different abilities and their teams be as independent, successful, and fulfilled as possible through access to individually tailored AAC and/or AT supports.
In 2021 Commūnicāre, LLC joined forces with Tate Behavioral, sharing a similar vision and values. They now work together with some of the best in the field to be innovative, creative, and collaborative.
