Commūnicāre. is a collaborative AAC and AT practice built around curiosity, creativity, and a shared belief that access should lead to meaningful participation.
We work alongside individuals, families, schools, and organizations to understand what’s working, what’s getting in the way, and what might make engagement, communication, learning, and participation easier.

OUR STORY
Better together.
Commūnicāre. grew from years of working, teaching, creating, and problem-solving together, and from recognizing that the most interesting communication and access challenges rarely fit neatly into one box.
Our work brings together speech-language pathology, AAC, AT, accessibility, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), literacy, education, and a healthy amount of curiosity. Commūnicāre. gives us the space to look broadly, think deeply, collaborate collectively, and build supports around the Individual and the life they are actually living.
We believe good clinical work starts with asking questions. What is the person trying to do? What is getting in the way? What can we change about the tools and the tasks, offer to their Partners, or adjust in the Environment to make meaningful participation more possible?

Hillary is a speech-language pathologist and Assistive Technology Practitioner whose work spans assistive technology, AAC, communication access, and implementation across everyday environments.
Nerissa is a speech-language pathologist and Board Certified Specialist in Augmentative and Alternative Communication whose work spans AAC, assistive technology, accessibility, literacy, and complex communication needs.
